The New Capital Global Alpha Fund offers investors access to a multi-asset strategy that integrates a truly unique way of thinking.
We’ve developed an approach that invests on a targeted return basis, but critically, one that only invests in line with the level of opportunities that currently exist – meaning that in market scenarios where sensible opportunities are scarce, the fund isn’t obliged to invest.
This helps keep the fund aligned with its core aim of achieving an annual return of Libor (cash) +3%, while preserving capital and generating a lower level of risk.
Such a strategy enables an enormous degree of flexibility when seeking opportunities across global asset classes. The Fund is not measured against any benchmark, meaning we are not constrained to invest within particular assets and sectors.
This outlook presents the Fund with an enormous pool of potential investments across the sphere of equities, fixed income, commodities, property, hedge funds and alternatives, and also opens up a range of potentially attractive sub-classes, such as infrastructure, asset leasing and catastrophe insurance.
The wider investable universe gives the Fund a greater chance of finding the best possible ways of capitalizing on market anomalies in the cheapest and most effective ways possible; while maximising returns, controlling risk and keeping expenses down.
Operating within a larger investable universe than the average multi-asset fund also allows the Fund to enjoy wider diversification benefits and ensures it is well equipped to cope with difficult market periods.
New Capital’s global presence – with analysts and managers working in London, Miami, Portland, Geneva, Zurich, Hong Kong and Singapore – allows us to devise global asset allocation perspectives from a truly informed research base.
